WordPress analytics

See how people find your WordPress site and what they do there.

Install the ShopLens plugin to see visits, popular pages, referral sources, campaigns, and custom actions. A WordPress administrator must upload, activate, connect, and verify the plugin.

01

Traffic and pages

Review visitor-days, 30-minute sessions, pageviews, traffic trends, and current-period top pages.

02

Sources and campaigns

See external referrers and UTM campaign context observed on measured pageviews.

03

Goals your site reports

Measure an explicit signup, download, form completion, or another named event your site sends.

Direct-download installation

Upload, approve, then verify.

The plugin removes the theme-code paste from this path, but it does not skip administrator approval or the final live-data check.

  1. STEP 01

    Download

Get the ShopLens plugin ZIP after creating your WordPress website in ShopLens.

  2. STEP 02

    Upload and activate

In WordPress, upload the ZIP from the plugin screen, then activate ShopLens.

  3. STEP 03

    Review and approve

Open Settings → ShopLens, sign in, and approve the exact HTTPS site shown.

  4. STEP 04

    Verify a known visit

Open the public site in a private window and confirm that visit in the ShopLens dashboard.

Download the plugin ZIP

Direct distribution; not yet listed in the WordPress.org directory. Setup is verified only after a known public visit reaches ShopLens.

Visible boundaries

Know what the plugin does—and what it does not do.

A configured site ID means the connection was saved. A known accepted pageview is evidence of recent delivery, not a guarantee that future pageviews will arrive.

Public pages only

WordPress admin screens and logged-in administrators are excluded from measurement by default.

No guessed goals

Forms and buttons become goals only when your site explicitly sends the named event.

No analytics cookies

ShopLens does not write a persistent analytics identifier into the visitor’s browser.

Not a legal shortcut

Cookie-free measurement does not decide consent and disclosure duties for your entire site.

Running a store?

WooCommerce adds explicit shopping events.

The same plugin can report measured cart activity, checkout starts, and paid-order confirmation events on WooCommerce sites.

WordPress analytics FAQ

What to know before installing.

Is the ShopLens plugin available in WordPress.org?

Not yet. ShopLens currently provides a directly downloadable plugin ZIP. A WordPress administrator uploads and activates it, then approves the displayed HTTPS connection. The package does not receive automatic WordPress.org updates while it is distributed this way.

What does the WordPress plugin measure?

After connection, the public site can report pageviews, visitor-days, 30-minute sessions, top pages, referrers, UTM campaigns, device and browser categories, and country when available. Custom goals require your site to send an explicit named event; the plugin does not guess which form or button counts as a goal.

Does the plugin set analytics cookies?

The ShopLens tracker does not set analytics cookies or build cross-site visitor profiles. Your WordPress theme and other plugins may still set cookies, and your consent or disclosure duties depend on your complete site and applicable law.

Does ShopLens receive my WordPress password?

No. The approval page receives the public site details and a time-limited return address. It does not receive your WordPress password or administrator cookie. You still sign in to ShopLens separately and approve the exact site shown.
