No analytics cookies
The ShopLens tracker does not write an identifier into a visitor’s browser.
Privacy-minded measurement
ShopLens measures activity on your website without setting analytics cookies or creating cross-site visitor profiles. That is a product boundary—not a universal legal shortcut.
01
The ShopLens tracker does not write an identifier into a visitor’s browser.
02
A salted, one-way identifier rotates daily rather than becoming a persistent visitor profile.
03
Activity from separate ShopLens customer sites is not joined into an advertising identity.

What gets reported
ShopLens records event context needed for store reporting. It is designed around aggregate performance, not personal dossiers.
Which content or product area received activity.
The external source or campaign observed on a pageview when available.
Broad technical context for experience and QA decisions.
Coarse geography when the hosting layer provides it.
Configured actions such as cart, checkout, or purchase activity.
A non-reversible value used for aggregate visitor-day counts.
Important boundary
Whether you need consent, a banner, a data-processing agreement, a privacy disclosure, or another safeguard depends on your location, users, purposes, configuration, and every other service on your site. Review the complete setup with qualified counsel where needed. ShopLens product information is not legal advice.
Cookie-free analytics FAQ
No. The ShopLens tracker does not set analytics cookies. Your website may still set cookies through its theme, commerce platform, ads, chat, video, or other applications.
No. Consent and disclosure duties depend on jurisdiction, purpose, data flow, settings, and the rest of your website. ShopLens can reduce analytics-cookie complexity, but it cannot determine the legal requirements for your business.
ShopLens derives a one-way, salted identifier from limited request context and groups activity into sessions with a 30-minute inactivity boundary. The identifier rotates daily, so visitor-days do not claim to identify one person across days or customer websites. Raw IP addresses and full user-agent strings are not stored as analytics fields.
No. ShopLens is funded by subscriptions and does not sell visitor analytics data or build advertising profiles from activity across customer websites.
