WooCommerce analytics

See where shoppers come from and what happens in your store.

See which pages shoppers visit, how often they use the cart or start checkout, and the order totals WooCommerce sends to ShopLens. Use WooCommerce for refunds, payouts, and accounting.

01

Find the source

Compare top pages, referrers, UTM campaigns, device and browser categories, and country when available.

02

See shopping activity

Review measured sessions containing cart activity, checkout starts, and purchase confirmations.

03

See reported order totals

See orders with reported value, average reported order value, and observed entry source, separated by currency.

Explicit WooCommerce events

The plugin reports known store actions.

It does not scrape button text or invent a purchase from a URL. Each commerce event comes from a supported WooCommerce action or paid-order confirmation.

EVENT 01

Cart page

Reports cart activity when a measured visitor opens the WooCommerce cart page.

EVENT 02

Added to cart

Listens for standard WooCommerce Blocks and classic AJAX add-to-cart events.

EVENT 03

Checkout started

Reports when the checkout page renders, excluding the order-received page.

EVENT 04

Paid order confirmed

Reports from the thank-you hook only when WooCommerce marks the order as paid.

Important reporting boundary

Useful store signals, not an accounting ledger.

ShopLens records the paid-order confirmation and value delivered through the visitor’s browser. It does not reconcile later refunds, cancellations, taxes, fees, payouts, profit, or missed browser requests. Use WooCommerce and your payment records for operational and financial truth.

Understand ecommerce activity counts

The plugin path

Manual approval stays visible.

No theme-code paste is needed after the plugin is connected, but installation is not automatic.

1. Upload and activate

A WordPress administrator uploads the directly distributed ShopLens ZIP and activates the plugin.

2. Approve the site

Sign in to ShopLens and approve the exact HTTPS WordPress and WooCommerce site shown.

3. Verify the data

Perform a known public visit before relying on traffic or commerce activity reports.

WooCommerce analytics FAQ

What these store reports mean.

Which WooCommerce events can ShopLens report?

The ShopLens plugin reports measured cart-page and standard add-to-cart activity, checkout-page starts, and paid-order confirmations received from the WooCommerce thank-you page. Those are independent observed counts, not proof that every session followed one complete ordered path.

Does reported order value equal my accounting revenue?

No. On a paid-order confirmation, the plugin sends the total and currency WooCommerce reports plus an internal order ID for deduplication. ShopLens does not later reconcile refunds, cancellations, taxes, fees, payouts, profit, or currency conversion. WooCommerce remains the operational source of truth.

Does installation happen automatically?

No. A WordPress administrator downloads the plugin ZIP, uploads and activates it, signs in to ShopLens, and approves the exact HTTPS site shown. ShopLens then adds the tracker through the plugin path, and you still verify it with a known public visit.

Does ShopLens receive customer details?

The WooCommerce plugin does not intentionally send customer names, emails, addresses, or payment details. It sends storefront activity plus the reported order total, currency, and internal order ID on a paid-order confirmation. Do not place personal data in URLs, campaign values, or custom event names.
