Add ShopLens to the website you already use.
The direct script works on public websites where your platform lets you add global head code. Shopify uses a separate managed installation.
Direct installation
Four steps, with a real verification at the end.
A copied script is not proof by itself. Finish with a visit you can recognize in the dashboard.
STEP 01
Create your account
Sign up with email and password. The free direct plan does not require a payment card.
STEP 02
Add the website
Choose Add website, enter a clear name and the public domain, then select Any website, WordPress, or WooCommerce.
STEP 03
Paste the generated script
For WordPress or WooCommerce, upload the ShopLens plugin and approve the displayed connection, or use the manual script alternative. Other sites add the exact generated line to an authorized global head or custom-code area.
STEP 04
Verify a known visit
Open the live site in a private window, visit a few pages, and check the ShopLens activity view. Do not treat setup as complete until that test appears.

Names vary by platform, but the rule stays the same: load the generated script once on every page you want measured.
WordPress
Upload the ShopLens plugin ZIP, activate it, and approve the displayed HTTPS connection—or use an authorized global header setting. Reconnects can require approval again. A configured site ID is not proof until a known visit appears.
WooCommerce
The plugin adds the base tracker and explicit cart, checkout, and paid-order confirmation events. It reports WooCommerce's order total, currency, and internal order ID; later refunds and cancellations are not reconciled.
WordPress plugin download
Upload, activate, approve the connection, then verify.
The package is distributed directly by ShopLens and is not yet in the WordPress.org directory. The approval page displays the exact domain, does not receive your WordPress password or administrator cookie, and returns only the public ShopLens site ID to the plugin through WordPress' local settings page.
- Download the ZIP after creating a WordPress or WooCommerce website in ShopLens.
- In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin, then activate it.
- Open Settings > ShopLens and click Connect. The managed connection requires HTTPS.
- Approve the displayed domain in ShopLens, return to WordPress, and verify a known live visit.
ShopLens does not set analytics cookies. That does not by itself decide whether your site needs consent or additional disclosure; those duties depend on your jurisdiction, configuration, and other tools.
Optional site events
Report a goal only when your site knows it happened.
After the base script loads, your own code can record a named goal such as a completed signup. Keep names free of personal information.

Cart and checkout activity is also explicit. Call these only after your own website confirms the matching action; ShopLens does not guess from a URL path:

Know what the script does—and does not do.
Where should the script go?
Place it once in the global head, immediately before the closing head tag, so it loads on every page you want measured. Site builders may call this Custom Code, Head Code, Analytics, or Code Injection. Use only a setting you are authorized to edit.
Is there a WordPress plugin?
Yes, ShopLens provides a directly downloadable plugin. A WordPress administrator still uploads and activates it, then approves the displayed HTTPS connection in a top-level ShopLens page. Reinstalling or reconnecting can require approval again. The package is not yet listed in the WordPress.org directory, and setup is not verified until a known live visit appears.
Why does ShopLens ask for my domain?
Production collection checks the browser origin against the saved public hostname. This helps keep one site identifier from being used by unrelated websites. Enter the exact public hostname where the script will run.
Does the script automatically know my sales total?
No. ShopLens records a purchase value only when code on your own confirmation flow reports the real total. This avoids inventing revenue or scraping sensitive checkout data.
Should I use this script on Shopify?
No for the managed Shopify app. That path uses Shopify authorization and a Web Pixel and is designed not to require a theme-code paste. The integration is prepared, but it is not publicly installable until its App Store listing is submitted and approved.
What should I check if the test pageview does not appear?
First confirm that you published the change, then clear any site, WordPress page, plugin, or CDN cache and retry from a private window. If your site uses Content Security Policy, allow https://shoplens.io in both script-src and connect-src. Browser privacy tools and network filters can still block the script or analytics request.
What do current, stale, and never-tracked statuses mean?
Current means ShopLens accepted at least one pageview during the previous 72 hours. It is recent delivery evidence, not a guarantee of future delivery. Stale means the latest accepted pageview is older than that window and can also mean the site has simply been quiet. Never tracked means ShopLens has not accepted a pageview for that website yet.
